Upcoming Sewing Party....

I've been very busy these past several months, leaving me little time to blog about my sewing adventures. I don't know how it's done so well by others in bloggy land. But in any case, despite my busy-ness with my regular business, family & social life, I've still managed to squeeze in lots of sewing. I've worked on some special orders & gifts during the holidays, and several things for my self ( mostly clothes ). These last couple of weeks I've also been busy re-vamping my new sewing area ( which will be re-located to half of our garage ). We put in new flooring for my side & have completely de cluttered & organized every corner. I'm really happy with the results ( pics for the next post ). Since I've been wanting to offer a few sewing workshops for kids & adults soon, I've felt the urge to get organized & have a comfortable & creative space to do so.

In other news.....I'm also very, very excited to be hosting an upcoming Sewing party in May, sponsored by Singer. I had applied a few months ago to host ( through HouseParty ) and was surprised to learn I had been selected. I'll be showing my guests the new Singer Confidence Stylist, ( which btw will be lent to me by Singer ) & my guests will be receiving a bag full of goodies. Here's what my hostess pack included.....

I received enough goodies for about 16 guests.....& it's great stuff like patterns by Simplicity, thread packs, fabric, etc. Very Cool!

Now, I'll just have to make some fabric bags to hold all this stuff, & maybe add a few other things myself like a measuring tape & a seam ripper. A sewist can never be without her seam ripper. My seam ripper has been my best friend since jr. high.
